In a proactive move to propel the youth of Adamawa State into the digital era, His Excellency Rt. Hon. Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, the Executive Governor, has announced a 2-day training on digital skills for youth empowerment. The training, organized by the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) in collaboration with the National Orientation Agency (NOA), took place in Yola, the capital of Adamawa State.
Representing the Governor at the event, the Secretary to the Government of Adamawa State, Hon. Awwal D. Tukur, conveyed the Governor’s perspective on the initiative. Governor Fintiri views the training as timely and a significant step in consolidating his administration’s efforts to reposition the youth for the digital era, particularly through job creation programs.
The training, which engaged over 150 youth from Adamawa State, focused on imparting essential digital skills. The aim is to empower the youth, enabling them to become catalysts for positive change within their respective communities. This initiative aligns with Governor Fintiri’s commitment to providing practical avenues for youth development and enhancing their capacity to contribute meaningfully to the digital economy.
As Adamawa State invests in digital skills training, it reinforces the Governor’s vision of positioning the youth as active participants in the ongoing digital revolution. By equipping them with the necessary skills, the state aims to not only enhance individual opportunities but also contribute to the overall socio-economic growth and innovation within the region.
